Vedic Immersion Retreat

Yoga. Vedic Meditation. Mantra Initiation. Rounding. Ayurveda. Vedanta.

5–9 May 2026 (4 nights)
Amarant Retreat Centre, Yarra Valley, Victoria

Introduction to Vedanta

Śravaṇa • Manana • Nididhyāsana
Listening • Reflection • Contemplation

This retreat is offered as a gentle, grounded introduction to Vedānta for those who feel called to begin — or deepen — their understanding of these teachings in a simple, embodied way.

During these four nights and five days, we will practise yoga, meditate together, study the introductory teachings of Vedānta, and live a traditional Ayurvedic lifestyle. Over this time in residence, we will study a foundational Vedāntic text, contemplate its meaning, engage in shared inquiry and discussion, and rest in meditation.

The retreat follows the traditional Vedāntic methodology:

  • Śravaṇa — listening to the teachings

  • Manana — reflecting, questioning, and inquiring together

  • Nididhyāsana — meditative contemplation and integration

Our days will be intentionally simple and uncluttered, allowing a return to a natural rhythm of waking, resting, eating, studying, meditating, and being. Once we arrive at the retreat centre, there will be no excursions; this is a contained immersion.

This is a quiet, steady introduction — reflective, accessible, and deeply nourishing — offered for those who wish to listen, contemplate, and begin the journey of understanding.

Rounding, Initiation & Meditation

Daily Rounding sessions will be facilitated, weaving together yoga, meditation, and study.

The retreat is suitable for:

  • Initiates of Vedic Meditation wishing to deepen their practice and understanding

  • Those who feel called to learn how to meditate and receive initiation in Vedic Meditation

This retreat offers the foundational knowledge and experiential context for those wishing to receive Vedic Meditation mantra initiation.
